Simon Carney is Professor of ENT at Finders University. He has authored 116 full publications, 15 book chapters, 2 surgical manuals. His work has over 4000 citations with an h-index of 38. With the late Nick Antic, he designed and obtained funding for “SAMS Trial”, published in JAMA in 2021. His current research is on phenotyping patients to predict benefit from multi-level sleep surgery.
He is current Chair of the SA Australian Society of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery, a Past-President of the ANZ Rhinologic Society, Vice-Chairman of the not-for-profit organisation Asia-Pacific Otolaryngology Surgical Training. He is Associate Editor of The American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy and on several Editorial Boards.
